All of our waterproof trousers are waterproof. However, the general rule is that more expensive waterproof trousers and over-trousers will be more breathable, hard-wearing, and have more technical features such as better zips for ventilation.
Overtrousers refer to garments which are worn over the top of your walking trousers or shorts, allowing for more versatility should the weather turn.
Waterproof trousers refer to garments which are worn as an alternative to normal walking legwear. These tend to be thicker and warmer than standard walking trousers, but save you the trouble of having to put on overtrousers, leaving you secure and dry no matter what the weather throws at you.
